Time to Psyop Myself, Bicameral Mind Style

· wannabestoic's blog

Hi Fren,

I recently discovered a very actionable question, "Why am I not living the life I want to live?". Here is how I perceive my life from a 10,000 ft high perspective. I feel like I am walking in circles when I should be on some sort or hike somewhere, a place I sense exists within my subconscious. I have a list of skills I want, and don't have a system to measure my progress towards obtaining them. I have a list of projects I am working on and don't write blog posts at regular intervals to put my progress in perspective. My life does not have as much meaningful interaction with others and I have not put together a plan to fix this problem even though it is as simple as intelligently prompting people and a little forecite and planning. My life is pretty good, and I don't think my expectations are completely unreasonable for the life I want to live, war on this cognitive dissonance must be waged.

Psyop, what is that, what are some examples, and how can this concept be used to enhance your life to make it better? Psyop (Psychological Operation) is a strategic manipulation by governments or organizations that involves controlling the regime of attention. It encompasses tactics like spreading rumours, fake news, or using manipulating the press and social media algorithms to influence people's thoughts and actions in line with their own agenda. The goal is to shape and direct what people pay attention to, shaping their perception of reality.

Psyops can come in many shapes and sizes. For example in school people are traditionally exposed to anti drug, safe sex, and anti bullying campaigns. In the corporate world people are exposed to cyber security, DIE(Diversity Inclusion and Equity), and even just simple workplace training campaigns. In the public sphere we see environmental, road safety, and even just raw marketing campaigns. Whenever people actively design and place ideas inside the minds of other people we functionally have a psyop. Psyops by their nature are not necessarily good or bad, they only become good or bad depending on how their goals and outcomes interact with your values and "ideology". Have you personally wished other people engaged with one another in a specific way or were knowledgeable about a specific topic you personally value, you may be in the market to pull off a psyop.

I personally wish I engaged with myself in more productive ways. I personally wish I had high quality actionable meme's more directly accessible to work and actualize on rather than reacting to the present like an animal. I subconsciously wish for a father figure to emerge within my subconscious telling me what to do imposing a set of expectations, a set of expectation what will help me accomplish the goals I personally set for myself. This is where the Bicameral Mind comes in.

The Bicameral Mind is the idea that the two separate sides of our brains have very different functions to the point that they have separate personalities. Left brain does logical, language, and sequential while the right brain does creative, visual, and initiative processing. It is theorised that when our ancestors were talking to God or spirits it was just the left brain, our ancestors, having a conversation with their right brain, God. This compartmentalization of function is a useful heuristic I hope to build into a society of personas that can tell me how to live my life. This hallucinated spiritual persona of God seems pretty dam similar to my father figure I wish existed in my subconscious exposing restrictions on my behavior and providing guidance so I can achieve max meaning and value with my life.

So, subconscious father figure that acts as a reflection of my values, I am looking for your guidance. Let's hang out and talk some time. What does this writer need to prompt their conscious mind to summon you?
