What does the next step look like?

Long ago I was talking going down the esoteric Discord rabbit hole and came across this piece of advice.

Islander Advice

What are these instructions for, what and where do they get you, are they worth following? Well here's a question for ya...

What does a cypherpunk org structure look like?

Hmmmm that's a loaded question. What are org structures for, what do the cypherpunk want, what is the implicit conception of power in the internet age, what is the true structure of power on the modern age. That brings us back to the first pricipals approach of "Money" is literal "Power". But there are countless tales articulating that power for power sake is unworthy pursuit void of real meaning. So that leads us to the question, what role does the variable "Power" have within the question for meaning.

Here is an interesting assumption,

Is everyone chasing meaning with their lives?

Hmmm there's an answer for this from our good old friend Uncle Ted,

The power process has four elements. The three most clear-cut of these we call goal, effort and attainment of goal. (Everyone needs to have goals whose attainment requires effort, and needs to succeed in attaining at least some of his goals.) The fourth element is more difficult to define and may not be necessary for everyone. We call it autonomy and will discuss it later

This "Power Process" is enhanced by the concept of The Maze from WestWorld. Consciousness is a journey inward toward "Self Realization". Self Realization seems to be a state of mind when one becomes an observer of oneself and are capable of re-contextualizing how they want to "play" or "navigate" the "Power Process".

Look at this Maze Toy below. Imagine actually playing with it. Once the maze is solved, what do you do? Why you shake the maze toy until the ball get's lost and navigate back to the center. And if you pay careful attention you would notice that you can never navigate back to the center exactly the same way you did before. This "Self Realization" is a state of mind, sure you can probably sustain it like those Buddhist Monks but those guys don't really engage in the "Power Process", and the "Power Process" is literally what life is all about.

So what does the center of my maze of consciousness look like? Have I ever actually made it there? What did I do once I made it there? How would I know if I was there? What should I do once I get there?

"Self Realization" is when you do an accurate accounting of who and what you are. That's what I have been doing with this blog, especially the unpublished pieces. You articulate how you want to measure yourself and then measure yourself accurately. You look yourself in the mirror. Rather than being afraid of your reflection you see yourself for who you are. You integrate those pieces of cognitive dissonance into come sort of continuity. Once some sort of continuity is achieved you should be comfortable shaking up up the maze and engaging in "The Power Process" once again.
